Mushroom Cultivation Workshop

This workshop will be an informal combination of demonstrations and work stations.  Members of the UMN Mycology Club will provide instruction and insights throughout the session. 

Location:  St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota.  Parking details will be provided to participants ahead of the workshop.

Cost:  $15.  Cash or check only.  This includes all materials and instructions.  You will take home your own Shiitake inoculated log. Inoculum/spawn for “grow-your-own” oyster mushrooms will also be available for purchase at $5/jar.

Details:  Under direction/supervision, each participant will drill, inoculate, and seal their own log to grow Shiitake mushrooms.  All tools and supplies will be provided.  Cultivation methods for oyster mushrooms will also be demonstrated.  Refreshments will be provided.  Please bring a water bottle, coffee mug, and camp chair. The class will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
