The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and multiple partners are launching a four-year project to increase the quality and quantity of available tree seeds and seedlings while supporting farmers and delivering environmental benefits such as enhanced carbon sequestration, soil health, water quality, and biodiversity. Additionally, the Minnesota State Forest Nursery buys seed and cones from certain native tree species in Minnesota to help reforest the state. Sarah Ebert, State Forest Nursery Manager at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will talk about the process of selling your seed and cones and the need to pick clean, no green.
