Metro Area Quarterly Meeting

  • The Tiny Diner 1024 East 38th Street Minneapolis, MN, 55407 United States (map)

Our conversation will be on the topic of permaculture led by Paula Westmoreland of Ecological Design.  Ecological Design is a permaculture design company creating landscapes which integrate food, function, and beauty.  Paula and her partners have implemented many projects in urban and rural landscapes, including one at The Tiny Diner.  Paula did the design and installation and will share the story about whole systems design and bringing a healthy urban ecosystem to life in a short time.   There is an outdoor patio under a solar array where we will eat and talk and then Paula will lead a tour of the project.  Paula says “The nice thing about The Tiny Diner is it’s a microcosm of many different systems and a story about transforming a landscape.”  She will also share experiences with woodland management so this will be a very broad topic discussion!
